Name your operating system (e.g. Windows 7, 64 Bit), your JAVA version (e.g. Java 6, 32 Bit), whether you are using the latest Docear version, and provide step-by-step instructions that allow to reproduce the bug or problem you are reporting. Post RC2 for 1.0 version of Docear
on: August 8, 2013, 22:33

Hello Guys,

there is a new version of Docear available for download and I am very happy and proud to present it. 😀
Image
It's basically the (experimental) RC1 version of Docear done right. It fixes a lot of bugs that were caused by the new workspace model with multiple projects, it features a refined and polished version of the Ribbon, fixes a lot of bugs in general and supports the standard PDF viewers of MacOSX (Preview and Skim) and probably a lot of other viewers as well!

If you are still using the Beta9 version of Docear, a lot of things will change and improve with this new version of Docear. However converting your old maps to this new format is a one-way process (you can't use these files in the Beta9 version of Docear anymore) and the process itself might take some time, depending on the size of your mind maps.
Please backup your files before upgrading to Docear RC2. We will create backups of your old files on your hard disk just in case, but keeping backups is never a bad idea. 🙂

If you have used the RC1 version of Docear and created multiple projects, you probably have experienced some bugs which cannot automatically be fixed by the RC2 version of Docear. If you e.g. have trouble with your Incoming mind map ignoring your other library mind maps (and don't have any beta9 workspace backups you can use with this new version of Docear), please write us on our bug tracking forum, and we will try to help you as soon as possible.

Some notes about the many fixes, enhancements and new features will follow tomorrow and on Wednesday, when the Docear team is back from vacation. 🙂

Thank you very much for your interest in and your support for Docear. Please also excuse our sometimes late replies in the forum. We were very busy in the last weeks and will try to work on your reports as soon as possible.
