Post RC1 for 1.0 version of Docear
on: July 4, 2013, 09:46

Hello guys,

I think some of you might have wondered why it took us so long to fix some of the bugs you have posted or why we were not able to fix them at all.

I am very happy to announce our latest version of Docear. The 1st release candidate of our 1.0 version of Docear! 😀 😀
We have been really busy working on Docear's user interface and some major features which are absolutely crucial for some of the services we want to offer in future (e.g.: full workspace synchronization, a web frontend for Docear and the collaboration feature).
The RC1 version of Docear is somewhat experimental and intended for those of you who want to get a glimpse about upcoming Docear features and those who want to help us debugging these features or to improve Docear.

To find our more about this version of Docear, please read:
Please also have a look at the alpha version of our web frontend for Docear at:

In the next weeks we will fixing a lot of the bugs you have found and some of the features you have requested. There is also a new idea on how to fix Docear so that it supports a lot more PDF readers. We are not yet sure if it's even possible, but we will give it our best.

Thanks for all your help and your support! We could not have done without your help! 🙂
