Hello guys,

there is a new experimental version of Docear out. If you want to help us with our task to create the absolute best reference- / literature manager out there, please test it thoroughly and report any bugs or glitches in our forums.
Thanks for all your support, your suggestions and your work.

Anybody interested in collaborating with us or working on Docear is more then welcome. Just mail us: or contact me directly: 🙂

To see what we have worked on in this version of Docear, please follow or read here:

  • Add note linking to more information about projects
  • rename PDF files from within Docear should also change the file links in BibTeX and
  • the mind maps

  • implemented action to remove any links from selected nodes
  • renamed some pdf management actions

Bug fixes:

  • duplicate annotations after manual import via drag & drop
  • Manual Update Check did not work
  • fixed NPE in AddOnsController

Miscellaneous changes:

  • Donation notification for PDF metadata extraction

I know this list is not really long, but there are also lots of improvements on Docear's services side. Some of them are necessary for our research, e.g. you can now rate Docear's recommendations and help us to improve the recommendater system.
Others are important for future features. You will hear about them eventually - promised! 🙂
