Post Java Problems -- Mac OSX

Hi all:

I believe others have had this issue and I'm hoping that someone has been able to solve this issue. I recently upgraded to Mac OS High Sierra, forgetting about the problems this would cause with respect to applications that run using Java. I am using Java jdk 1.8.0 (see below). I also replaced the framework.jar and freeplanelaucher.jar files with the most recent ones from Freeplane 1.6.7. I have been trying to open docear using the FreeplaneJavaApplicationStub. This is the error that I get:

Any idea of where I should go from here? Is it a matter of trying to adapt the .jar files, or docear.sh, or the FreeplaneJavaApplicationStub? Thanks!
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.144-b01, mixed mode)

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we - the Docear team - currently do not have the time to answer support questions. However, we encourage all Docear users to help each other.
