Post Encoding problem with bib-files imported from Zotero

Hello world,
I exported my references from Zotero via Zotero Automatic Export, but foreign letters were not decoded correctly.
I tried by changing the coding in Jabref to utf-8, but this didnt help.
Thanks a lot in advance!

PS: I tried to find an answer to this in the forum, but maybe I missed it.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we - the Docear team - currently do not have the time to answer support questions. However, we encourage all Docear users to help each other.

Hi fritz3721,

Are you talking about

instead of

This is correct LaTeX (and BibTeX) notation for umlauts, which you can read more on here:

If I understand you correctly, the formatting occurred when you exported in Zotero?
Then you would have to see if Zotero offers export in in a way that retains special characters instead of escaping them.

A work-around could be to replace all occurrances before importing the file to Docear.

I hope this answers your question?
